Interstellar Soundtrack

I have spent hundreds of hours listening to this album while studying for computer science. As nights would grew cold & weary, I would find solace in exertion by listening to this. To me, the whole 2 hour soundtrack signifies transcendence of a human beyond themselves and into the realm of unknown.

Bach: Violin Concertos

My goto music for programming. I cannot speak to Bach’s theory or his formal structures. I can only say that listening to him makes my own thinking clearer.

SomaFM: Mission Control

SomaFM is a community driven online radio. Out of many amazing stations that they have, Mission Control is the most peculiar. It plays dark ambient sounds above radio chatter of astronauts.

Panchrang by Kabir Cafe

Folk music fused with modern arrangement

Humne suna that ek hai bharat

A 1959 classroom song shouldn’t feel like current affairs. And yet here we are. I love everything about this song- the back & forth between students and teacher, the cinematography, child actors, simple lyrics with deep meaning & message. It is dissapointing & surprising that everything discussed in the song still holds true today (as of 2025, update me if it changes)

Talking to Myself- Watsky

the darkest moments don’t want your philosophy. They want proof that someone else was there too, and came back, and thought it worth mentioning.

Handlebars- Flobots

It starts with a man who can ride a bike with no handlebars. It ends somewhere you didn’t want it to go.

Ain’t no rest for the wicked- Cage the Elephant

You don’t realize when this rock song turns into an introspective story.

INSIDE- Bo Burnham

Bo translates experience of being a mind that watches itself too closely, in a world that punishes exactly that. And as pandemic hits, what happens when that world shrinks to four walls and a camera and nowhere left to perform..

Barfi- Pritam

What a Wonderful World- Louis Armstrong

La Gazza Ladra- Gioachino Rossini

Swan Lake- Tchaikavosky

Who you really are- D. Arnold - M. Price

Sail up the sun- Dylan Owen
