CS Degree in 150 Days

Overview

I started studying at 1:14 am and it is now 6:01 am. I finished all the lectures of 3rd unit. I had a busy day at work today and tomorrow is going to be even worse. I have two client meetings to go to. What would I not give to be a college student again. Maybe I’ll be saying the same thing in few years but about being a young and free. If given the chance to replay life, I would take a software engineering degree instead of pharmacy. I don’t have any regret of having studied pharmacy, it was a subject of my interest as well. But biology and chemistry do no offer the foundational truths that mathematics and computer science does. The question of why something is true can be written down with proof, while biochem is riddled with assumptions, rules and exceptions.

What I did today?

I have started relying less on video lectures and started reading more from the textbook. This book “Calculus with analytical geometry by George Simmons” in written with emotion and beautiful exposition that most textbooks lack.
Did assignments and read textbook for following topic.

  • Lecture 20: Foundational Theorem of Calculus
  • Lecture 21: Areas between curves
  • Lecture 22: Volume of solids
